How does Misha’s outlook on the ghetto differ from Janina’s family’s? (MILKWEED)

Misha and Janina’s family members seem to have different attitudes toward life in the ghetto.

Misha comes to view the ghetto as home, and the people who live in the ghetto as family..... something he has never known. Janina's family, however, sees the ghetto for what it is..... a prison erected by the Jackboots to starve the people from the little safety they still have.
