A Midsummer Night's Dream

Shakespeare

How is Hippolyta’s reasoning concerning how quickly the next four days will pass different from that of Theseus? Note how Shakespeare portrays the patience and calmness of Hippolyta in contrast to the impatience and need for action of Theseus.

Hippolyta believes that the next four days will pass quickly where as Theseus thinks that four days is just too long a wait to get married. This shows Theseus to be more excited about this marriage than Hippolyta who really has little choice in the matter.
