If we look at the plot on paper, it becomes obvious that A Midsummer Night's Dream has all the elements of a magical Shakespearean Romantic comedy. It is a boy meets girl story that is cast in all directions in a magical forest filled with fairies, love "juice" ( I won't elaborate here on that!) , misdirected love, and a play within a play. In the end the chaos is, of course, sorted out to everyone's satisfaction.
