What was the reason why Shylock wanted a pound of flesh from Antonio?

It is because Antonio was Shylock's enemy an d instead of getting the money he needs a pound of flesh.

Antonio is well known to lend people money without interest..... something that takes business away from Shylock, and also requires him to lower his own rates. This animosity is what causes Shylock to make the deal with Antonio about the pound of flesh.... no, he doesn't like Antonio, and we are not apprised of the reason for Shylock's grudge against him.

Sylock is a money lender so he say that if bassino will not give his money back so he will take one pound of flesh from anonio's body because bassino was friend of antionio.
