What are the difficulties between Portia and the Englishman?

In Act I, Scene II, we meet Falconbridge, the Englishman. Portia finds Falconbrige rather boring, and is put off by the fact he only seems to speak one language, English, which Portia doesn't speak that well. Portia also comments on his "odd" way of dressing.
