Why do you think the Nazis organized procedures involving stamps and records rather than simply taking and killing the Jewish citizens?

The Nazis kept such meticulous records in order to prove they were getting their job done. The records they kept included deaths, how people were executed, how many had lice, and so on and so on. Records were proof that their ultimate goal, extermination, was on its way to fruition.
