What is the important message that the author wishes to convey?

I believe the message the author wishes to convey is that the effects of the Holocaust have affected more than those who experienced them. The children and grandchildren of the survivors have their own stories to tell...... the experiences of those who lived through the Holocaust didn't simply end with emancipation....... they continued in ways we can only imagine. What we can't imagine is what has been portrayed in MAUS.
