In Maus, Art interviews Vladek about the Holocaust. How reliable is Vladeks memory? Why?

I think he is very reliable in the interviews. Art has to sift through much of Vladek's pain, but Vladek has no real reason to lie about any of it. Also, Vladek is quite touched that his son is making an account of his life. I think he is really trying to give an accurate account.
