Describe in detail how Vladek is treated when he first gets to Auschwitz

Vladek had a difficult time while working in the tin shop, he was beaten and lacked food. Things got better for him after he took work in show repair and was able to barter his services for things he needed and things he would get to Anja in the other camp.
