Macbeth has no problem holding his own or dominating his wife in the second act. In the beginning of the story, we see Lady Macbeth as manipulative and ambitious, but that doesn't last long. Before long, Macbeth gets his thoughts together and begins to work independently of his wife's hen pecking and constant desire to emasculate him into doing her bidding.
