Had Malcolm and Donalbain stayed after hearing the news of the King's murder, they probably would have found themselves on the "hit" list. Macbeth would not have allowed them to live because they might discover the truth of his actions. This, of course, is my opinion. What do you think?

On the line- I was thinking exactly what you said but beside this I thought about like what if they weren't under suspicion therefore they could have found the real killer of their father King Duncan....

I don't know something like this is what I was thinking but like you said the sons are on the "hit list" so they are most likely to be accused for the murder of King Duncan!
