what is duncans impact on the play?

Im doing a paper on duncans impact on the plot of the play and im totally lost anyody got any vviews to share i just dont know where to start...

Duncan is a good king, a man who places a lot of trust in Macbeth...who eventually seeks to get rid of his king and take over the throne.
