What does it say about their relationship that Macbeth doesn't want her to know about his plan?

We can infer that he doesn't trust his wife, or that possibly, she thinks she will somehow give them away. On the other hand, macbeth does note that a dreadful deed will be done.... he might be protecting her, and yet again, he might be placating her.
