In the beginning of the play, Macbeth is a caring, brave, and loyal man. After his initial meeting with the witches,we see Macbeth become evermore ambitious, and ever more willing to enact whatever mean he must use to achieve the ends the witches have prophesied. He no longer has any scruples and does whatever he needs to accomplish his goal.... even to the pointof turning on his own friends.
