do you think Macbeth would have gone ahead with the murder of Duncan if his wife had not encouraged him to do so?

In my opinion, Macbeth would have backed out of the murder had Lady Macbeth not heckled him, henpecked him, and attacked his manhood. She made the murder a testament to his manliness..... after that, he didn't look back.
