Equivocation is a motif throughout this play. I suppose that Banquo could be a character foil to Macbeth. While Macbeth is enraptured by the witch's suggestions, Banquo is weary of them,

But ’tis strange.
And oftentimes, to win us to our harm,
The instruments of darkness tell us truths,
Win us with honest trifles, to betray ’s
In deepest consequence.

Lady Macduff could be seen as a foil to Lady Macbeth. While Lady Macbeth covets greed and malicious acts, L. Macduff sees the world is awash with bad people who are rewarded for doing bad things.

"I am in this earthly world, where to do harm / Is often laudable, to do good sometime / Accounted dangerous folly"
