Imagine if Malcolm and Donaldbain hadn't left?

From Act 2 Scene 4 Question:

Imagine if Malcolm and Donaldbain hadn't left? What are the implications for the rest of the story?

For this questions it is asking to "write an alternate ending".

Your alternate ending could go in two directions. One, the two remained and found themselves in danger, possibly blamed for the King's death and accused as traitors. Two, they might have stayed behind, discovered what happened and seen that Macbeth was punished for his deed.
