L. Macbeth and Macbeth have a typical marriage except, in act one, the power dynamic is the opposite of what is expected. In this traditional patriarchal world, it is L. Macbeth that controls her husband. She plays on his insecurities and his "dark and deep desires." As Macbeth makes his foray into evil, the power dynamic between the two switches. Macbeth becomes more confident in mass killings ans isolates himself from his wife.
