Macbeth

How do Lady Macbeth and Macbeth conform to or breach the gender roles of their day? Are they “unnatural?”

The gender roles are switched for about half of the play. L. Macbeth seems the dominant one and Macbeth seems subservient to her wishes. L. Macbeth seems to control the narrative of their relationship as well as King Duncan's fate. In this sense, the roles seem unnatural an a patriarchal society.
