In the world that Macbeth inhabits, things that should be good turn out to be bad. The witches give prophecies that should give hope for the future; yet these prophecies turn into the worst parts of Macbeth's future. Even the weather is foul after they have achieved a wonderful victory in the civil war in Scotland.
