The porter scene is designed to stimulate comic relief after the intense emotion generated by the killing of Duncan and the reaction to that killing. The porter imagines himself as "the porter of hell gate" and considers what the people would be like who would be trying to get into Hell. Each person has done something that is going to put him in Hell: the farmer was a hoarder, the equivocator was liar, the tailor stole cloth from his customers, etc.

thnk u for the answer.. but ho was the farmer a hoarder, equivocator a liar?
