SHE is the one who wants her husband to be the king, so that she can be the queen.  So she pushes him to hurry the job along.  And SHE is the one who "finishes off" Duncan.  She plants the knives on the sleeping guards and makes Macbeth wash his hands.

Lady Macbeth holds some of the BEST persuassion skills known to man/or woman-kind to this day.  She uses many ways of persuaded Macbeth during his thought process of "should i" or "shouldn't i" speech about whether or not he should go ahead and kill King Duncan.

Lady Macbeth uses: buttering up- saying that Macbeth is a man.
she puts Macbeth down - saying how He's a MAN and he should step it up
she says that even if she had to "gouge out the eyes of my baby with thy nipple" -and that was the promise, she would do ANYTHING to fulfill that promise.

She's a very good speaker.  Especially in her "unsex me here" speech.

good luck.

She doesn't control Macbeth. That's why she fades into the background during the final acts.
