Why does Ralph’s talk of rescue sound naive or innocent?

It is in chapter one when the boy with fair hair hasn't really realize what is going to happen

Ralph claims that the Queen has a big room full of maps. His daddy is in the Navy and Ralph claims they, perhaps his dad, will find the island and save them. Although this is ridiculous the other boys are comforted by Ralph's words.
