Why do you think Roger pushes the rock off the cliff?

Rogers intention was to inflict harm. He knew the rock was dangerous and he levered it on purpose. He knew Piggy was there, and he meant to hurt Piggy regardless. I don't know that he intended murder, but that is what he accomplished.
