Which ideology William Golding seems to favor ?

Lord of the Flies can be allegorically read as the scene of two conflicting ideologies namely liberal democracy and totalitarianism.

The character of Jack reflects a totalitarian ideology and most of the boys are drawn to it. By the end of the story, Jack's leadership has led to the death of boys who do not follow and destruction of the island. Golding clearly was warning against totalitarian ideology.
