What insubstantial reason does Ralph give the boys to assure them that they will be saved?

Ralph says that his Daddy is in the navy and the queen has a map in a big room of all the islands in the world. Ralph proclaims that his daddy will find their island and rescue them. This of course is ridiculous but the boys like what they hear.
