Lord of the Flies

What happens to the fire in lord of the flies? is it anyones fault? Are the boys reactions appropriate?

It goes out of control. It is the boys' fault.

The fire goes out because Jack's hunters aren't tending to their job. Ralph and the other boy's reactions are appropriate because they do need that signal fire to keep burning if they're going to attract attention.

Uh oh...... he said chapter 2............. am I on the wrong chapter here?

The boys' unleashed this fire monster in their frenzy. They could not control it. Still they danced and screamed in a sort of primal extacy.

I feel better............ it went out, they got it restarted, and then the tree caught on fire...... like an "unleashed monster."
