Lord of the Flies

What does the Lord of the Flies mean when he says to Simon, "I'm part of you... I'm the reason why it's no go... why things are the way they are."?

The Lord of the Flies is challenging Simon to acknowledge that exists inside himself. He wants Simon to "come to the dark side" so to speak. He wants Simon to understand that man is inherently sinful and that is never going to change.
