Ralph and Piggy go to face Jack at Castle Rock in the hopes that order can be restored. Their main purpose, however, is to retrieve Piggy's glasses and reignite the signal fire. For Ralph, rescue remains the most important goal. Unfortunately, their plan fails as the hunters have no desire to make peace, and Jack refuses all of Ralph's demands, leading to a fight between the two. In the end, Piggy lies dead after Roger releases a boulder from above, and Ralph is attacked and forced into hiding.
