What are some problems that might occur as a result of Piggy's glasses being stolen?

Piggy's glasses mean fire and fire means survival on the island. Despite the fact that Piggy is blind without them, there would eventually be a power struggle over the glasses. If the glasses were harmed in some way, their fire would be gone.
