what are jacks qualities asva leader ?

In many ways Jack is a more effective leader than Ralph. He instills both fear and security in the boys. He sets himself up as protector, food provider and a symbol of strength. Much of this is only an illusion but Jack has cultivated this illusion to work for him and against Ralph.
