Lord of the Flies

The title of this Chapter is "Beast From Air". What is the significant about this title? What is the 'beast from air?'

The "Beast from the Air" is actually a dead pilot attached to a parachute. The twins see it as an actual beast. Their imagination tells them, "it is furry, it has eyes, teeth, claws, wings and it chased them". The man, however, still represents the metaphorical beast that Somon tries to point out. Man is essentially his own beast. The man with the parachute represents both ideas to the boys.

why is this chapter called Beasts from air?
