Lord of the Flies

Questions regarding chapter 4-7

1. How was it that they started camouflage paint themselves? What it led to?

2. Tell us about the meeting they had after the fire has gone out! What was that word you think that the author writes that Simon asked about the quote, "which is the ugliest word that is?"

3. Beast from the sea and from the air beast named two of the chapters. What aims William Golding on this? Who was it that was nearly stabbed to death like a pig, and why?

The boys wanted to hunt for pigs. Jack started to paint himself to blend in with the forest. The other boys liked the "war paint" motif that Jack introduced and started doing it themselves. Painting themselves lead to the abandonment of their old identities.

You need to submit these one at a time. Thanks.
