Lord of the Flies

Lord of the Flies Q.

That leads to a conversation about ghosts, which sets Piggy off. Then Ralph tries to reorganize. “‘There’s too much talking out of turn,’ Ralph said, ‘because we can’t have proper assemblies if you con’t stick to the rules’” (p. 90). He admits that he “was wrong to call this assembly so late” and they take a vote on whether or not there are ghosts. Piggy asks, “‘What are we? Humans? Or animals? Or savages? What’s grownups going to think? Going off---hunting pigs--- letting fires out--- and now!” (p. 91) What is Jack’s reaction to Piggy?...

I believe Jack calls Piggy a "fat slug" and calls for Ralph to step down as chief.
