I need help on writing a good reduction for this book

i just need some help i know a reduction consists of info like themes setting and stuff like that but can someone help me write a good one? thanks for your help anyway.

Here is a start:  Unlike other writers of his time, who believed that man is basically good but is corrupted by society, William Golding believed that man is basically bad and is controlled by society.  The boys--and all of us--have an inner beast which is kept in check by parents and teachers and the law; when those elements are gone, the beast takes over and controls the boys. 

Begin with that idea and show how the novel illustrates this belief.
