How has Ralph changed from the beginning of the book til chapter 6?

Ralph is much more of a leader but a frustrated leader with dwindling power. Ralph is assertive but he can't compete with Jack's more assertive manipulation of the boys. That pretty much leaves Ralph frustrated. He is trying to do the right thing and is vocal about it. The boys gravitate towards darkness and Jack which leaves Ralph feeling impotent.
