Ralph really internalizes his problems. He attempts to use a logical and constructive way to handle adveresity. He tries to call meetings to say "what's what" or use logic to make littluns believe there is no beast. Unfortunately Jack, Ralph's rival, opperates on fear to control the boys. Fear and manipulation is more pwerful than Ralph's constructive logic.
