How does Jack treat the choir in the beginning of the book towards the end?

Jack is quite a dictator in the beginning towards his choir. He orders them to march and stop in the heat. He is rather aggressive towards them and we know he craves the control. The coir become "hunters" but by the end they just become part of Jack's little kingdom.
