how do jack wish to contribute to the survival of the boys?

Jack offers something much different from Ralph. Jack offers a sense of belonging to a group as long as everything is on his terms. He offers hunting, meat and "protection". All these are essential to the boys' survival both physically and emotionally. Ironically what Jack offers contributes to the boys' destruction as well.
