Lord of the Flies

For the story Lord of the Flies, I have a few questions for my study guide

1. What are some of the differences you already see between some of the other boys on the island?

2. Why is the boys’ encounter with the pig significant? What does it reveal to you about their character?

3. Although only one boy is voted “chief,” there are a few who seem to have traits that would make them a strong candidate. What qualities do Ralph, Jack, AND Piggy possess that might make them a good leader?

This depends on what chapter you are referring to. Early in the book we see twop catagories of boys, "Littluns" and "Bigguns". Their are boys who are leader types like Jack and Ralph. Piggy is intelligent but also a victim-figure. Simon is special. He is not like the other boys.
