TJe Lord of the Flies is the devil.  The Book of Kings (in the Bible) talks about Baal of the Flies (Beelzebub: Satan).   The devil is merely the incarnation of evil . . . as we all are.  The Beast is in all of us.  Society's job is to help us to control our beastly urges.  The society of boys fails to contol the Beast, especially in Jack, who takes over as a tyrant.  Ironically, his rough command is more effective than Ralph's logical leadership.

Lord of the Flies seems to be what someone is.  All the children are called the flies and Ralph is the lord.

Yes. I too interpreted it as Ralph as being the Lord and the others the Flies, until I then understood when my teacher asked us to defin beelzebub.
