At the end of the chapter (chapter 2), what does Piggy say about the boys' behavior? Is he right?

He says the boy's are acting like savages,

Piggy fell against a rock and clutched it with both hands.

“That little ‘un that had a mark on his face-where is -he now? I tell you I don’t see him.”

The boys looked at each other fearfully, unbelieving.

Piggy is right and his point about savagery and the likely death of the littlun will prove prophetic to the rest of the novel.
