1. What is Ralph’s reaction to his first pig-hunt? Why might this be significant?

Ralph is actually quite exhilarated. He gets caught up in the idea of imposing his will on another living creature. For a moment he becomes a part of Jack's group. This of course damages anything he will say about not hunting and responsibilities of fire and shelter in the future. In L.O.F much of what plays out happens within the symbolism of actions.
