Jo and Amy got into an argument over Jo's book, whr ich Amy claimed to have burned. Their words were impetuous and said without forethought. Jo called her sister wicked.... and said she would never forgive her. The largest impact of their words, however, was felt by their sisters, who had nothing whatsoever to do with the argument and tried to smooth things over.
