After the twins are born, how do Meg and John resolve their problems?

Marmee helps the two to solve their problems by explaining to her daughter she has NOT been doing her duty by her husband at the expense of over doing her duty to the twins. Through Marmeee Meg comes to understand that she was shutting her husband out rather than inviting him..... that doing it all herself was detrimental to her marriage.
