Little Brother, Chapter 7

Marcus waxes poetic about the joys of programming a computer and how it can make one experience a whole new world where if “you program a computer, it does exactly what you tell it to do” (p. 42). What other kinds of experiences do you equate with the joy Marcus feels here?

In my opinion, these feelings of joy can be inspired by a multitude of different things for different people. Whether someone is involved in computer programming, sports, art, medicine or farming... personal accomplishment is a source of joy.
