Letter From Birmingham Jail

why did some religious leaders encourage their church members to support desegregation? What arguments does King cite that were used to justify inaction over segregation?

i dont understand what the paper says and i cant find the answer in the Letter From a Birmingham Jail. Can you also help me with these two questions?

Some white clergy asked their followers to support desegregation because it was the law rather than because segregation was morally wrong. Please submit your other question separately. Thanks.
