Why do the Logan children get upset with Suzella in chapter 9?

Suzella is approached Stuart (a young white man), who is driving past in his car. He believes that Suzella is white, and she allows him to do so. This upsets the Logan children because she is not only dishonest, but she denies her black heritage as well.
