The various knights have different qualities. For example, Sir Galahad is the pure knight, the only one who could search for and find the Holy Grail because such a search required one to be of a pure heart. Bedivere reflects absolute loyalty to his king, even though he reveals some human weakness at the end of Arthur's life. Sir Percival also reflects loyalty to Arthur. Lancelot begins to be the most skilled of Arthur's knights, although he betrays his skill and loyalty to the kind when he becomes involved with Guinevere.
