How is the frontier defined? Who lives their and why

The frontier would be defined as the land of the Mohicans and other Native American tribes. We are in the midst of the French/ Indian war, in which two outside countries battle for land that belongs to the natives. Each side, French and English, have their own native allies. On top of that you have European settlers. The frontier becomes a wild and chaotic place of opposing forces thrust together.
